Carol Mount, Tax Manager at Halt, Buzas & Powell, has been practicing tax and accounting in the Washington, DC area for over twenty years. Her professional responsibilities have included all stages of tax engagements. Her areas of expertise include tax preparation and tax planning for individuals, businesses, exempt organizations, estates and trusts. She also advises clients in entity selection for new businesses, offers ongoing bookkeeping assistance, and provides tax research and analysis in complex areas. In addition, Ms. Mount enjoys supervising and training staff in tax matters and presenting tax updates to the community.

Carol is active in several professional and civic organizations. She is a member of the Tax Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  In her free time, Ms. Mount and her family enjoy cycling and can be found at cycling races on most weekends.  She received a BA from Northwestern University and an MA from the University of Michigan.
