Steve Halt has over thirty five years of public accounting experience, advising high-wealth individuals, small and medium-size businesses, nonprofit organizations, and estates and trusts.
Steve assists clients with general business and strategic planning, income tax and cash flow planning, entity selection and structure, and human resource issues. Steve consults with businesses when they are considering a potential equity partner, sale, or merger of business, and directs communications with financial institutions to provide clients with assistance in obtaining lines of credit or permanent financing.
Over the years, Steve has represented clients in federal and state tax audits and has served as an expert witness in the federal court system. He was named Top 25 Tax Experts, twice by his peers, in the Washingtonian magazine, and twice named Smart CPA by Smart CEO magazine.
Steve graduated with a BA in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He has served on the boards of nonprofit and for profit organizations, is active in local civic groups and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
