John Sterner, Tax Manager at Halt, Buzas & Powell, has practiced accounting in Northern Virginia for over ten years. He is a CPA specializing in providing tax preparation and planning for individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations and pass-through entities. John also has experience preparing FAS 109 provision for a wide variety of audit clients. John also provides tax review and planning for large multi-state consolidated corporate tax returns. Mr. Sterner received a BS in Accounting and Finance from George Mason University and an MST in Taxation from American University. He is a member of AICPA and VSCPA and is an active member in the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. John enjoys supervising and training staff and serving in the community.
