TOP TEN HUMAN RESOURCES MYTHS

Eileen Levitt, SPHR,  President & Founder – The HR Team

Human Resources is a complex field that requires the ability to manage priorities and excel at a number of responsibilities ranging from the tedious to the often strategic.  It takes knowing what to focus on and what to delegate, staying on top of the latest trends in compensation and always having a finger on the pulse of employee relations.  The session will address many of the issues facing HR departments in a nonprofit organization.

NONPROFIT CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
Linda Rosenthal, Of Counsel – Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C.
Daniel Ingersoll, Associate – Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C.

One of the most significant issues in today’s economic environment has been the continuing emergence of corporate governance and ‘best practices’ designed to enhance and improve responsibility and governance, such as consistency with mission and vision, relationship of board and management, and fulfillment of the board’s obligations.  This session will address a wide variety of issues in nonprofit corporate governance.
