CPA FIRM HALT, BUZAS & POWELL, LTD ANNOUNCES STAFF I ACCOUNTANT KATE DONOVAN RECEIVES CPA ACCREDITATION FROM THE STATE OF VIRGINIA

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, June 2, 2010 – Partners Steve Halt, Mike Buzas, and Andrew Powell, of accounting firm Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd., join in congratulating their Staff I Accountant Kate Donovan, who recently received from the Virginia Board of Accountancy her Virginia CPA license.

Ms. Donovan is a 2008 graduate of University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she earned her Master of Business Administration concentrating in Accountancy.  Shortly after completing her MBA, Kate passed three of four CPA exams in Hawaii and completed the fourth exam upon moving to Virginia.     

 “We are very impressed both with Kate’s academic achievements and her dedication to obtaining her CPA license so quickly upon receiving her MBA,” said Steve Halt, Managing Partner at Halt, Buzas & Powell.
