KATE DONOVAN JOINS ACCOUNTING FIRM HALT, BUZAS & POWELL, LTD
AS STAFF ACCOUNTANT
ALEXANDRIA, VA, December 4, 2009 – CPA and management consulting firm Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd. (HB&P) announced today that Kate Donovan has joined the firm as Staff Accountant.
Ms. Donovan is a 2008 graduate of University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she earned her Master of Business Administration concentrating in Accountancy. She has already past all four parts of the CPA exam and is awaiting her license.
At HB&P Ms. Donovan will begin her career in public accounting working on projects surrounding tax preparation, audit and accounting. “We were extremely impressed both with Kate’s academic achievements and her dedication to obtaining her CPA license so quickly upon receiving her MBA,” said Steve Halt, Managing Partner at Halt, Buzas & Powell.
“Kate brings more than accounting credentials to HB&P – she brings enthusiasm and dedication to the accounting profession. I am looking forward to working with Kate as she further develops her professional and leadership skills,” Halt added.
While attending college in Hawaii, Ms. Donovan served as Vice President of the Graduate Business Student Association, and received honors including Outstanding MBA Student, and Academic Achievement Scholarship.
