HALT BUZAS & POWELL ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES FROM FALL CAMPUS RECRUITING EVENTS

ALEXANDRIA, VA, December 14, 2009 – Partners Steve Halt, Mike Buzas, and Andy Powell, of Halt Buzas & Powell, Ltd. (HB&P), welcome Brian Dudley and Elisa Han to the accounting and consulting firm.

HB&P has established recruiting at local college campuses as part of their growth plan. The firm has successfully recruited from local campuses, including George Mason University, George Washington University and the University of Maryland.  “Our firm continues to grow and expand, and to sustain our reputation for unrivaled client service, we need to attract the best and the brightest,” said Managing Partner, Steve Halt.  “We are quite pleased that such accomplished and highly motivated individuals have joined our accounting firm,” added Halt.

Upon receiving his Bachelor degree in Accounting from George Mason University, Brian Dudley joined HB&P as Staff Accountant.  In his new position Brian will assist the Audit and Tax departments.  “I am eager to begin my career in public accounting at HB&P,” said Dudley.  “After interviewing with Partner’s Steve Halt and Mike Buzas, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this firm,” concluded Dudley.  When asked for a comment on the newest member of the HB&P team, Mike Buzas said, “Brian’s confidence, positive demeanor and can-do attitude made Brian stand out among the Class of 2009. Most impressive was his ability to maintain an excellent GPA while working his way through college, and his teamwork in hi-tech projects at GMU. He is a winner in every way, and a welcome addition to our team,” concluded Buzas.

Elisa Han, student at George Mason University is in her senior year and pursuing a Bachelor degree in Accounting and a minor in IT.  Ms. Han will join HB&P in January of 2010 on an Internship, during her winter break.  “I was most impressed with Elisa’s passion to achieve academic success through continuous part-time work, scholarships and grants.” said Halt.  “Her ability to maintain a high grade point average while working part-time shows Elisa has good organization skills.  The partners and I are delighted to have Elisa join us during her winter break,” concluded Halt.
