| Accountant I |
Objective: Acquisition of basic professional job skills.
Minimum Requirements: Four-year degree in accounting or business administration with a minimum GPA of 3.0; up to 1 year of public or private accounting experience.
Responsibilities: An Accountant I is required to provide analytical and mechanical assistance in the following areas: audits (including compilations and reviews), tax returns (individual and business), and statutory reporting (including payroll and sales tax returns). Within the audit area, the accountant may be given full responsibility for certain simple accounts such as cash and accounts payable. The accountant may also be charged with full responsibility for certain simple tax returns. Other typical assignments include the calculation and testing of trial balance and report mathematics, proofing, schedule preparation, filing, copying, and mailing.
In the performance of these tasks, the Accountant is expected to provide neat, well-formatted work papers documenting the work performed. The Accountant is also expected to perform assigned tasks as expeditiously as possible. As a professional, the Accountant is expected to exhibit a positive, mature attitude and to maintain a neat, clean appearance. Participation in community affairs is also encouraged.
Accountabilities: An Accountant I is ultimately responsible for the accuracy and promptness of work performed, as well as the reasonableness of time charged to assigned tasks.
Continuing Education: To assist the Accountant in making the transition from conceptual knowledge to practical skills, certain Continuing Professional Education courses, such as work paper preparation or professional writing will be required. Other courses may be provided on an optional basis

| Accountant II |
Objective: Further development of basic professional job skills.
Minimum Experience Requirements: One year of public accounting or from one to two years of private accounting, with consistent performance at the satisfactory level.
Responsibilities: An Accountant II is required to provide analytical assistance in audits (including compilations and reviews) and tax returns (individual and business), including full responsibility for routine tax returns, certain simple audits and such routine audit accounts as fixes assets and notes payable. Other typical assignments include trial balance groupings, balance sheet and income statement assistance, management letter drafting assistance, and preparation of fluctuation analysis.
In the performance of these tasks, the Accountant is expected to provide neat, well-formatted work papers documenting the work performed. The Accountant is also expected to perform assigned tasks as expeditiously as possible and with only moderate supervision. As a professional, the Accountant is expected to exhibit a positive, mature attitude and to maintain a neat, clean appearance. Participation in community affairs is also encouraged.

| Senior Accountant |
Objective: Maturation of basic professional skills, acquisition of supervisory skills and accomplishment of firm growth.
Minimum Experience Requirements: Two years of public accounting or from two to four years of private accounting, with consistent performance at the satisfactory level.
Responsibilities: A Senior Accountant is required to assume full in-charge responsibility for smaller engagements. In-charge responsibilities consist of:
- Job planning, including advanced determination of staffing requirements, client assistance and job training. The use of firm budgeting procedures is a required element of job planning.
- Job execution, including performance of own work, coaching of staff, supervision and review of work assigned to staff and general control of engagement time and expenses.
A Senior Accountant’s own work includes analyses of relatively difficult audit accounts (including compilations and reviews) such as sales, accounts receivable and contingent liabilities, as well as relatively difficult tax returns (individual and business). Other typical assignments include the preparation of management letters and other reports to client management, as well as the preparation of such financial statement elements as footnotes and statements of changes in financial position.
A Senior Accountant may also be asked to assume some or all of these responsibilities in providing assistance on larger jobs.
Accountabilities: A Senior Accountant is ultimately responsible for the accuracy, promptness and reasonableness of time charged for own work. Additionally, a Senior Accountant is responsible for providing the necessary instruction, supervision and motivation to enable staff to meet their own similar responsibilities.
Continuing Education: To assist the Senior Accountant in attaining position objectives, time will be made available for attending such technical, management and marketing Continuing Professional Education courses as may be deemed appropriate. Additionally, a special emphasis will be placed on such training or educational requirements as may be deemed necessary in the attaining of Certified Public Accountant status for those who have not yet received it.

| Supervisor |
Objective: Sharpening of technical skills, further development of supervisory skills and further development of firm growth skills.
Minimum Experience Requirements: Four years of public accounting or four to eight years of private accounting, with consistent performance at the above-average level and the prior attainment of Certified Public Accountant status.
Responsibilities: A Supervisor is required to assume full in-charge responsibility for single large engagements or several simultaneous smaller engagements. In-charge responsibilities consist of:
- Job planning, including advanced determination of staffing requirements, client assistance and job timing. The use of firm budgeting procedures is a required element of job planning.
- Job execution, including performance of own work, coaching of staff, supervision and review of work assigned to staff and general control of engagement time and expenses.
A Supervisor’s own work includes analysis of relatively complex audit functions (including compilations and reviews) such as corporate consolidations, deferred income taxes and partnership accounting, as well relatively complex tax returns (individual and business). Other typical assignments include the preparation of management letters and other reports to client management, as well as the preparation of such financial statement elements as footnotes and statements of changes in financial position.
Accountabilities: A Supervisor is ultimately responsible for the accuracy, promptness and reasonableness of time charged for his or her own work. Additionally, a Supervisor is responsible for providing the necessary instruction, supervision and motivation to assist staff in performing their own similar responsibilities.
Continuing Education: To assist the Supervisor in attaining position objectives, time will be made available for attending such technical, management and marketing Continuing Professional Education courses as may be deemed appropriate.

Accounting
& Audit Manager |
Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise all phases of audit engagements and other attest services for clients from a wide variety of industries, including not-for-profit organizations
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
- Maintain active communication with clients
- Consult and work closely with clients on various business and accounting issues and make recommendations to client
- Manage, train, mentor and evaluate staff assigned to engagements; review work-papers and reports prepared by staff
- Participate in various networking and business development activities
Qualifications:
- CPA certification & Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong auditing skills including proficiency in GAAP and GAAS rules and standards
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and also individually
- Computer expertise including knowledge of audit preparation software; knowledge of CaseWare a plus
- Experience auditing not-for-profits in accordance with OMB Circular A-133 is a plus

| Tax Manager |
Responsibilities:
- Manage all stages of tax engagements
- Review tax returns including Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, Trusts and Tax-Exempt entities and individuals to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Research and consult on various tax matters
- Assist clients with tax compliance, planning and research
- Develop and sustain excellent client relationships through active communication
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current tax practices and law changes
- Manage, train and mentor staff on projects and assess performance
Qualifications:
- CPA certification & Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting
- 5+ years progressive public accounting experience, with managerial experience preferred
- Experience in Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust and Individual returns
- Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve various tax issues
- Excellent client service and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and also individually
- Computer expertise including knowledge of various tax software packages; experience with ProSystem fx a plus
