Carol M. Mount, CPA
Tax Manager
Carol M. Mount, Tax Manager at Halt, Buzas & Powell, has been practicing accounting in the Washington, DC area for over seventeen years. Her professional responsibilities have included all stages of tax engagements. Her areas of expertise include tax preparation and tax planning for individuals, businesses, exempt organizations, estates and trusts. She also advises clients in entity selection for new businesses, offers ongoing bookkeeping assistance, and provides tax research and analysis in complex areas. In addition, Ms. Mount enjoys supervising and training staff in tax matters and presenting tax updates to the community.
Ms. Mount is active in several professional and civic organizations. She is a member of the Non-Profit Committee of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, the Tax Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, she is active in the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, Ms. Mount volunteers her professional services to charitable causes. She received a BA from Northwestern University and an MA from the University of Michigan.
