W. Andrew Powell, CPA
Mr. Powell is a Partner at Halt, Buzas & Powell. He has over twenty years of auditing, operational and financial expertise in both large and small organizations. Andrew currently serves on various committees with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
Carol Mount, CPA
Carol is the Tax Manager at Halt, Buzas, & Powell. She has over twenty years of experience in practicing accounting in the DC area. Her area of expertise is in tax preparation, compliance and planning for nonprofits. She is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, the Tax Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
Robert Keuroglian, CPA
Robert Keuroglian is Director of Business Management Systems at Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd. He is a CPA with eighteen years of combined experience in both Public Accounting and Private Industry. Mr. Keuroglian began his Management Systems career by successfully managing his own company as a Microsoft Certified Business Partner. He served as a national technical sales manager for Microsoft Corporation, where he twice led the national rollout of Microsoft’s CRM initiatives on behalf of Microsoft’s Technical Sales Team. The saying “the sum is greater than its individual parts” is certainly true in the case of Mr. Keuroglian as his accounting experience and business management knowledge combine to provide Halt, Buzas & Powell’s clients with Information Systems Consulting that truly enables its clients to effectively unite people, process and technology together to achieve results that taken individually would not be possible.
Jeanne L. Allert
Jeanne is President and Consultant at Ellipsis Partners. She was named "One of the Top 100 Women in Computing" by McGraw Hill Publishers and awarded the title of “Outstanding Woman of Technology" in Washington, D.C. Jeanne is a senior consultant with years of experience educating not-for-profits about the potential of Internet technologies and guiding them toward making business decisions that align with their mission and service to society. Prior to founding Ellipsis, Jeanne was President/CEO of an Internet company that built online communities for nonprofits/associations. Jeanne holds a Masters of Education and Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree.
Kathy Jankowski
Kathy brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience to the philanthropic research arena. As Research Director at Jankowski Associates (JA) in Frederick, MD, she leads the editorial, research, production, and new product development initiatives for this leading foundation research firm. JA has built the largest new foundation database in the country, as well as the most current and comprehensive database available on foundations headquartered in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. JA publishes GrantsDirect.com an online research resource for finding funding on new foundations. Kathy is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of McDaniel College, Westminster, MD, she is a member and a trainer of the Maryland Association of Nonprofits. She is a board member of the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington, a marketing committee member of the Community Foundation of Frederick County, MD, and a school volunteer.
Joanne Rang
Joanne is Vice President and co-founder at Information Technology Advisory Group (ITAG). She serves as an advisor to many not-for profit organizations. Ms. Rang has over twenty-five years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) arena. Joanne has expertise and knowledge in a variety of disciplines. Based upon customer's requirements, she analyzes their existing technology environment; reviews current and future business objectives and assists in defining goals and strategies to support the business operations. She also assists organizations in assessing current processes to evaluate customer value, developing process models, realigning workflow with strategy, and determining whether the financial investment the company continually makes on IT is cost-effective. Before starting ITAG, Ms. Rang was an IT consultant with Sage Solutions Group, and prior to that the Vice President of IT for the American Trucking Association as well as the Executive Director of the Information Technology Council. Ms. Rang also serves as a member of the ASAE Technology Council.
